How much investment will Network City in New Sparta Yield?

  12th September 2011

The detail for Network City is yet to be processed, all be it, it has been considered.

Network City is North New Sparta and approximately 1500km sq, where up to two thirds is either on mountainous terrain or already settled, this leaves us 500km sq.

Simplistically we will leave304km sq for park land and allocate 1km sq to each of the 196 countries in the world.

There are many ways tom profit from this, the simplest being 1/2km sq given freely to the country where they are obligated to build a grand embassy on half their allocation (1/4 km sq) the other half they may sell to whoever they wish to raise money for infrastructure and the building of their embassy, the other 1/2 km sq to be sold with the profits going to New Sparta.

To make the 1/4 km sq that the country can sell more desirable the 1/2 km sq owned by New Sparta will be held back for a few years.

It's very difficult to estimate the value of the unsold New Sparta land, but if we consider the evenness of land allocation where as the Maldives has the same Metre sq plot as the USA the land value of the 1/2 km sq of land allocated to the USA in 4 or 5 years time could be worth a fortune.

To further increase desirability of land and the lifestyle of New Sparta citizens, a maximum of 2000 homes in whichever format can be built within the km sq.

We also need to consider the mountainous land as mountain villages are beautiful places to live.

Considering we're looking at $792B it would be naive to think $208B could not be razed, all be it, not sold initially, money in the bank so to speak.so we're looking at a net investment of 1 Trillion in New Sparta.

Two other things to consider, firstly giving all countries to bid for more land, this said i do like the evenness of every country being equal in land size.

However giving countries to bid for the preferential location I.e. backs on to a mountain reserve, connects to the Old Sparta town or has a river, could be a fair way to raise extra money from countries without compromising the land size.

The general idea of Network City is of course to build a international networking community around Science City and the companies incorporated, hence further elevating the desirability and practicality of businesses operating from Science City.
